Pake is iensum | Opa is eenzaam | Lonely grandpa

This short movie is about the life of a Frysian grandfather.

He tells about his earlier days, about all the different companies he had and all the time and effort he put into it. In Frysian he says: "Ik seag oeral wol luncht ien" ( which means: I saw a opportunity in everything) 

Even though there was not much time left for the kids, family or friends he and his wife always helped and welcomed everybody.

But after all those years of hard work he now realizes he never made time to establish any important social connections with others, which leaves him alone at home. He mentions that he misses the social interaction he had in the differents shops and cafes he had and that he feels lonely now everything is gone.

This movie is a recap of the most important conclusions of the research: Lonely elderly living in the countryside
